Chattahoochee Coffee Company Riverside Review

Like many people, I first discovered Chattahoochee Coffee Company after seeing videos on TikTok from local influencers. The posts sold me a dreamy coffee shop by the river where you can sip on a latte and soak in nature. It didn’t seem like it could be any more perfect. I finally visited Chattahoochee Coffee Company with a friend in August to see for myself if it was too good to be true.

Chattahoochee Coffee Company’s Biggest Con: Parking

Shocker! Somewhere in Atlanta has inconvenient parking. If you didn’t know, the coffee shop is actually in the back of a gated apartment complex which means you need a code to get in. On the weekends, non-residents of the apartment complex are not allowed gate access. The coffee shop also has very limited paid parking which is an issue we ran into immediately.

As soon as we pulled up to the gate, we noticed a sign that said “Coffee Shop At Capacity.” However, with prior knowledge of the parking situation, I knew this meant the parking lot was full and the coffee shop itself was likely not at capacity. Therefore, we had to park far away and walk to the shop. I don’t think there is any nearby public parking, so park at your own risk if you decide to follow in our footsteps. With that being said, I did not get to experience what happens when you use the call box to get a gate code, but I imagine it is pretty simple. As I walked by the lot, I saw signs that said parking was $3/hr and limited to 2 hours, so that is something else to keep in mind.

Chattahoochee Coffee Company’s Seating

Despite us getting there around 11 pm, an obviously busy time for coffee shops and brunch spots, ordering our drinks and food and finding somewhere to sit was not an issue at all. Due to its location, most people opt to sit outside with their coffee on warm sunny days, so there were actually only 2 people sitting inside. Wrapped around the shop is a porch with a lot of bar-style seating, but there is even more outdoor seating beyond that. There is also a large grassy area perfect for picnics. We chose to sit at a table in the shade close to the river, and it was perfect! I could see seating being an issue on rainy or cold days, so I will have to go back on one of those days to test it.

Chattahoochee Coffee Company’s Food and Drink Review

I knew that the main reason that this place is so popular is due to the location, not the menu, so I did not have very high expectations. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant. Both were good and pretty comparable to other local coffee shops. They warmed the croissant up for me which was really nice and made the chocolate even better. Also, sometimes I feel like coffee shops don’t quite get the vanilla right, but I enjoyed theirs! At the time we went, they were also offering Venezuelan food options such as empanadas. I am not sure if it is part of a seasonal menu, but I would love to go back and try one of those.

Chattahoochee Coffee Company’s Menu and Pricing

Like I said before, I got a large iced vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant. It was around $10 in total which is definitely not the worst pricing I’ve ever seen. Brewed coffee starts at $2.75, espresso drinks start at $3, and non-coffee drinks such as hot coffee and chai lattes range from $3 to $4.50. For a more detailed menu, click here.

Final Thoughts

While I have never had such a hard time getting access to a coffee shop before, the struggle was worth it. Could you just pack up your home-brewed coffee and a snack from home, sit by the river, and avoid any of these issues? Yes. However, the quality of the products, the very kind workers, the overall ambiance and the chance to support a local business really make this place stand out. I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance. It makes for a great place to get work done, go on a brunch date, or meet up with friends over a caffeinated beverage. I loved my experience here, and I hope you do too!
