College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, The College Football Hall of Fame is a fantastic stop even if you’re not the biggest football fan out there (like me). My boyfriend (the actual football fan) decided that for his birthday, he’d like for us to visit the CFB Hall of Fame, and I happily agreed.

Here is What to Expect during your trip to the College Football Hall of Fame:

Admission to the CFB Hall Of Fame

After riding MARTA to our destination, we were pleased to find out that during the month of February, students get free admission and a neat, old-fashioned bottle of Coca-Cola.

Typically Admission is $24.99 for adults, $20.99 for students and seniors, and $17.99 for children between the ages of 3 and 12.

To add to the experience, your ticket for entry happens to be a unique Fan Pass that you can use to interact with different exhibits throughout the museum.

Different Displays at the CFB Hall Of Fame

Right when you walk in the door, you are greeted by a massive wall of college football helmets, and it is truly impressive. This is also the moment when you activate your fan pass and choose the college team you are there to support. After choosing your team, your school’s helmet will be illuminated on the wall! This was a neat way to interact with a display and show off your team’s pride.

Other displays include prominent trophies, championship gear, records, quotes, historical moments, and even a look into tailgating throughout the years. There’s so much to see, and truly appreciating each exhibit would easily take a lot of time. There is even a short film that you can watch, but we did not get around to doing so. Also, you can’t forget that on the top floor is the Hall of Fame itself, overlooking the city of Atlanta.

Interactive Exhibits at the CFB Hall Of Fame

One of my favorite parts of the CFB Hall of Fame was its many interactive exhibits. They really allowed you to put your football skills to the test by measuring your vertical jump and timing your 40-yard dash. There was even an area to kick field goals and practice your passes! To really get in the zone, there was also a virtual reality experience that allowed you to practice your plays on the field.

Also offered was “advice from your favorite players,” virtual face painting, and the chance to commentate some of the best plays in history.

Food / Gift Shop at the CFB Hall Of Fame

Without leaving the building, you can grab your lunch from Chick-fil-a and eat in the designated area near the field. If you’re not in the mood for CFA, Atlanta has some of the best food options within walking distance, as well as a food court located in the nearby CNN Center.

Once you have concluded your time at the CFB Hall of Fame, you will exit through the gift shop. Although, make sure you’ve done everything you wanted to do before entering the gift shop because there is no re-entry. Now is your chance to shop around a bit for some neat souvenirs before it is time to go.

My Chance to Show Off

To wrap up this post, I had to include the video of me practicing my pass on the field because I was pretty impressed with myself.

Overall, I had a much better time than I could have anticipated at the CFB Hall of Fame, and I am thankful for the chance to experience something I would not have picked out myself.

I would highly recommend this attraction to football lovers everywhere if you ever find yourself in Atlanta, Georgia.
