Alive After 5 in Roswell, Georgia
Every third Thursday of the month (from April through October), the city of Roswell, Georgia comes together for a festival called Alive After 5, which runs from 5 pm to essentially 9 pm. I have had the pleasure of attending the event twice, and I had a lot of fun both times! If you live near Roswell or find yourself in the area, you should definitely check it out!
A Guide to Alive After 5:
Alive After 5 Location
Alive After 5 takes place along Canton Street, East Alley, and Roswell Town Square.
610 Atlanta St, Roswell, GA 30075
Alive After 5 Cost
This festival is FREE, which is always fantastic news! If you do not purchase anything while you’re there, you will have easily enjoyed a night out without losing a penny.
Where To Park At Alive After 5
Finding free parking is not too difficult, but it depends on how many people are attending. There are several lots within walking distance, but the one we parked at belonged to the Roswell Public Library. Other parking opportunities include street parking and the Roswell City Hall. On busier nights, you might end up having to park pretty far, but there is also a trolley service available that stops at City Hall, Town Square, Mimosa St, Woodstock St, Norcross St, and Magnolia St.

What To Do At Alive After 5
Once you have arrived, it is not hard to find something to do. There are numerous tents up and down the streets where you can shop for cute clothing, learn about local companies, and enjoy games with fun prizes! Most of the tents have games and prizes that both kids and adults will love, but another way to keep the children entertained is to take them to one of the booths providing face painting or balloon animals!
There are also several food trucks ensuring you can get a good meal in one spot and then a yummy dessert a few steps away. While eating your food, you can enjoy live music at one of the few stages spread throughout the festival! Also, I can’t forget to mention that there are multiple tents serving alcohol, so make sure to stop and enjoy some local beer, wine, and sangria!
It’s easy to leave the festival with a bag full of free goodies given out by the vendors, but it is also always good to shop local and leave with a bag full of paid-for goodies, too!
Quick Info
- Alive After 5 Is Dog Friendly!
- There Are Several Porta Potties!
- Open Container Is Allowed, But You Cannot Bring Your Own Alcohol!
- Certain Roads Will Be Closed During The Festival!

This looks like a lot of fun. So much good food and entertainment. What a great idea. I often struggle to find as many things to do in the evening when traveling so this is a great way to cure that issue
