Fort Mountain Georgia West Overlook Hiking Guide

    April 2, 2025 / 5 Comments

My favorite place in Georgia to watch the sunset is Fort Moutain State Park. I have been several times and am in awe at the view each visit as if it is the first. However, I have realized that finding the trail and deciding which path to take can be a little tricky which is why I decided to create a hiking guide. Where Is Fort Mountain State Park? Fort Mountain State Park is located in the North Georgia town, Chatsworth. It is approximately an hour and 45 minute drive from Atlanta making it a great day trip. Address: 181 Fort Mountain State Park Rd, Chatsworth, GA 30705 How to…

    Chattahoochee Coffee Company Riverside Review

    September 1, 2024 / 5 Comments

Like many people, I first discovered Chattahoochee Coffee Company after seeing videos on TikTok from local influencers. The posts sold me a dreamy coffee shop by the river where you can sip on a latte and soak in nature. It didn’t seem like it could be any more perfect. I finally visited Chattahoochee Coffee Company with a friend in August to see for myself if it was too good to be true. Address: 2281 Akers Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA 30339 Chattahoochee Coffee Company’s Biggest Con: Parking Shocker! Somewhere in Atlanta has inconvenient parking. If you didn’t know, the coffee shop is actually in the back of a gated apartment complex…

These are some of my favorite unique Atlanta date night ideas. 1. How To Get To The Bamboo Forest in Sandy Springs, Georgia – The East Palisades Trail

    July 26, 2022 / 7 Comments

I was pretty surprised when I learned that there is a Bamboo Forest in Sandy Springs, Georgia. It definitely isn’t the first place I would think to have one, but they do! It’s along the Chattahoochee River on the East Palisades Trail. I was able to visit it recently for the first time, and I have compiled a guide for anyone who wants to add it to their list of things to do in Georgia! East Palisades Trail Difficulty: I would say this hike is on the easier side but can be very tiring for beginners. It has a few steep inclines, but they don’t last too long. In all,…

College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia

    February 23, 2022 / 20 Comments

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, The College Football Hall of Fame is a fantastic stop even if you’re not the biggest football fan out there (like me). My boyfriend (the actual football fan) decided that for his birthday, he’d like for us to visit the CFB Hall of Fame, and I happily agreed. Here is What to Expect during your trip to the College Football Hall of Fame: Admission to the CFB Hall Of Fame After riding MARTA to our destination, we were pleased to find out that during the month of February, students get free admission and a neat, old-fashioned bottle of Coca-Cola. Typically Admission is $24.99 for adults, $20.99…

A Fun Day Trip To Savannah, Georgia

    January 19, 2022 / 22 Comments

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Savannah, Georgia, and exploring its cobblestone streets for a weekend. Thankfully, my boyfriend has a wonderful family living in Savannah that provided housing and food for most of the trip, but there was one day that we devoted to seeing what the city of Savannah had to offer. These were a few of the things we got to do that made our day special, and I hope you get to try them out in order to have a fun day trip to Savannah, Georgia! 1. Obviously, Get A Coffee in Savannah, Georgia After checking Yelp, I could tell that The Coffee Fox was…

A Day Trip To Helen, Georgia in the Fall

    November 9, 2021 / 4 Comments

If you have never heard of Helen, Georgia, before, it is a mountain town in North Georgia that has been inspired entirely by Germany, and it is perfect for a day trip. Every building, including the local Wendy’s and Dollar General, was built with a Bavarian-style making it a truly unique little town. On a random October night, I made plans to make the short trip to Helen, Georgia, for November 7, the last day of the famous Oktoberfest. As someone who had never been to Oktoberfest, I was very interested in what the festival consisted of. However, upon arriving, it was evident that Helen was already more focused on…

Brasstown Bald: Hiking Up Georgia’s Highest Peak

    September 15, 2021 / 5 Comments

Brasstown Bald has been sitting on my list of must-do hikes for months now, and I figured it was finally time to be able to cross it off. I knew that with it being the highest peak in Georgia, the view would not disappoint, which is why it would be worth the 2-hour drive to get there from Kennesaw. I also decided I wanted to be able to watch the sunset from the mountain, so we left Kennesaw at around 5 pm in order to be at the top before the sun setting at 7:45 pm.  The Brasstown Bald Hike: When you first discover that the hike is only 0.6…

The Van Gogh Immersive Experience: A Guide

    August 7, 2021 / 13 Comments

My most recent experience and newest recommendation is the Van Gogh Immersive Experience that has been popping up around the country. This exhibit is the latest way to showcase art, with the main event being a giant room where the walls are covered in projections in order to make you feel like part of the painting.  After learning that it was coming to Atlanta, I immediately bought tickets. Not really knowing what to expect, I was a little worried that the tickets I had just paid for were not going to be worth it. Is sitting in a room full of projectors really going to be all that great? Well,…
