Kayaking the Withlacoochee River in Madison, Florida

    June 25, 2022 / 7 Comments

For my first time ever kayaking, I went down the Withlacoochee River in Madison, Florida. I can’t believe it took me this long to go kayaking, and I hope I get more opportunities to go in the near future. My family chose to go down the Withlacoochee River in Madison, Florida, which I think ended up being a great river for beginners. In all, it took around 4 hours to complete the journey, but that can vary depending on how long you stop at each spring. Starting Point We first got in the river at a public boat ramp. The address is 4658 NW 21st Pl, Jasper, FL 32052. After…

    May 31, 2022 / 4 Comments

If you’re looking for a swimming hole that fulfills your desires of relaxing, hiking, swimming, and jumping into the water from high places, Hippie Hole in Fort Payne, Alabama can provide. This swimming hole feels like it is straight out of a teen summer movie, and that is always a plus for me. How To Get To Hippie Hole Hippie Hole, technically named Martha’s Falls, is located in Fort Payne, Alabama, and it is a part of the Little River Canyon. There are several parking areas off Highway 35, and they have signs that make them easier to spot. Depending on how busy the area is, you may have to…

    The Perfect Happy Hiking Playlist

    March 16, 2022 / 14 Comments

Most anything becomes a lot more enjoyable when you have the perfect playlist to listen to in the background. That’s why I have created playlists for almost every mood I could possibly be in. When it comes to hiking, I think it’s best to have an overall happy playlist, something that makes you feel grateful to be out in nature and that puts a little pep in your step. A hiking playlist is especially useful if you are someone who hikes alone. Hopefully, this playlist consists of the perfect mix of songs you already know and love, as well as songs that you will come to know and love. You…

Catawba Falls, North Carolina: A Super Easy & Fun Hike

    March 9, 2022 / 14 Comments

North Carolina offers some of the best hikes in the country, and I had the pleasure to take on one of them this past weekend. Catawba Falls is the perfect hike if you’re near Asheville and are looking for a quick adventure out in nature. Length: 3 Miles Round Trip Difficulty: Easy As someone who does a lot of hikes but still lacks in the endurance department, I consider Catawba Falls to be a pretty easy hike. There are a few short moments of a more intense incline, but for the most part, the path is fairly steady. However, there are a few instances that require you to cross some…

College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia

    February 23, 2022 / 20 Comments

Located in Atlanta, Georgia, The College Football Hall of Fame is a fantastic stop even if you’re not the biggest football fan out there (like me). My boyfriend (the actual football fan) decided that for his birthday, he’d like for us to visit the CFB Hall of Fame, and I happily agreed. Here is What to Expect during your trip to the College Football Hall of Fame: Admission to the CFB Hall Of Fame After riding MARTA to our destination, we were pleased to find out that during the month of February, students get free admission and a neat, old-fashioned bottle of Coca-Cola. Typically Admission is $24.99 for adults, $20.99…

A Fun Day Trip To Savannah, Georgia

    January 19, 2022 / 22 Comments

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Savannah, Georgia, and exploring its cobblestone streets for a weekend. Thankfully, my boyfriend has a wonderful family living in Savannah that provided housing and food for most of the trip, but there was one day that we devoted to seeing what the city of Savannah had to offer. These were a few of the things we got to do that made our day special, and I hope you get to try them out in order to have a fun day trip to Savannah, Georgia! 1. Obviously, Get A Coffee in Savannah, Georgia After checking Yelp, I could tell that The Coffee Fox was…

Noccalula Falls: One of Alabama’s Best Waterfalls

    January 5, 2022 / 6 Comments

If you know me, then you know that despite TLC’s desperate pleas, I go chasing waterfalls. That’s why Noccalula Falls, located in Gadsden, Alabama became one of my most anticipated destinations after I discovered it online. The waterfall stands an impressive 90 ft tall and roars loudly for all who visit it. It provides truly picturesque views, and my favorite part is that you have access to walk behind the waterfall if you choose to do so. Noccalula Falls History Noccalula Falls is named after Princess Noccalula. Legend has it that a Native American Chief’s daughter, Noccalula, was loved greatly by her community for her beauty and kind heart. Therefore,…

Not Your Typical Travel Bucket List (USA Edition)

    December 6, 2021 / 8 Comments

I am sure you are very familiar with bucket lists and have seen handfuls of travel ones in your life. If that is the case, then your typical bucket list probably goes a bit like “Visit the Grand Canyon” or “Travel across Europe” which is understandable because who wouldn’t want to do those things? However, what about all the oddities the world has to offer that you don’t get to hear about often or even at all? In this post, I would like to give the weirdest parts of the United States the spotlight that they deserve in what I call “Not Your Typical Travel Bucket List (United States Edition)”…

A Day Trip To Helen, Georgia in the Fall

    November 9, 2021 / 4 Comments

If you have never heard of Helen, Georgia, before, it is a mountain town in North Georgia that has been inspired entirely by Germany, and it is perfect for a day trip. Every building, including the local Wendy’s and Dollar General, was built with a Bavarian-style making it a truly unique little town. On a random October night, I made plans to make the short trip to Helen, Georgia, for November 7, the last day of the famous Oktoberfest. As someone who had never been to Oktoberfest, I was very interested in what the festival consisted of. However, upon arriving, it was evident that Helen was already more focused on…

What to do in Salt Lake City As A Young Adult

    November 1, 2021 / 8 Comments

While a lot of what makes Salt Lake City a great spot has to do with what it is nearby, it also has a lot to offer within the city. As a young adult, I was pleasantly surprised at how much there is to do in SLC that appealed to me. These are a few of my favorite attractions that I got to experience on my trip: 1.) Visit High School Musical School in Salt Lake City! As someone who was a young girl in the early 2000s, this was definitely one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. The famous East High from the High School Musical series…

4 Adventurous Day Trips from Salt Lake City

    October 10, 2021 / 6 Comments

I recently went on a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah for the first time ever, and I learned that a lot of what the city has to offer is actually outside of the city. What I mean by that is that if you are staying or living in SLC, you are just a day trip away from some really great destinations. During my stay in SLC, my boyfriend and I drove to four locations, each very different from the last, which ranged from being 45 minutes to an hour and a half away from the city. Here are the four adventurous day trips from Salt Lake City that we…
